I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Pomerantz LLP (New York, NY) in Oct 2025
Interview
There was a quick meeting with HR and the legal assistant head. After that, a test cite checking an error ridden brief, then adding a TOC and a TOA to it. You were given access to a bluebook and Westlaw.
Feedback was that my TOA and TOC was good, but my cite-checking score was not "good at all". I am confident in my cite checking ability, I have been cite checking without issue for years and double checking all my cite in bluebook on the spot, I am not confident in there cite checking ability. I later heard that they had 15 people who took their test, and not a single one passed. Eventually they did take someone who did not pass, but did "better then the other ones who had taken the test".
Beware there cite checking test, I am convinced it's a sham or whoever is grading it does not know how to properly cite check.

Question 1
The test was cite checking an error ridden brief, then adding a TOC and a TOA to it. You were given access to a bluebook and Westlaw. You were given all the time you needed, but they said aim for around an hour.
Interview was a quick Zoom. They mostly talked about the job rather than asked me questions. It was for a specific type of law. They wanted me to start as soon as possible and the hourly rate was $25.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Pomerantz LLP
Interview
Quick Zoom with one Partner and two Associates. Mostly talked about the position. Asked one or two questions. Very chill. Was notified very quickly after. Will vary depending on who is interviewing.
