I applied online. I interviewed at Prevail Legal (San Diego, CA) in June 2024
Interview
Go To Meeting call, very good interview. Interviewer was pleasant, no pressure. Very easy to find out about job requirements and type of platform used for editing. Shared screen showing editing program and method of AI editing.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Prevail Legal (New York, NY)
Interview
I went through 4 interviews and met with 6 different people, most of whom I really enjoyed meeting and felt that I clicked with. The hiring process was supposed to be 4 interviews, but after the 4th one I received an email from the HR representative that they wanted me to do "one final interview" and to provide my availability. When I did so, I never received a response after multiple follow ups, and this was about a month ago. I have to assume they are ghosting me, which is an incredibly unprofessional practice. After 4 interviews, if a company can't even provide the courtesy of a rejection email I think it reflects very poorly on them.

Interview
The interview was given as a general screening for any of the positions available. It was tech-heavy. Somewhere in the second interview with the engineer I just didn't want to stick around any longer. The interview was scheduled for 45 minutes but was pulled longer toward 2 hours. I heard from a friend this was a good thing but I failed in other plans because my schedule had to be repackaged.
The engineer definitely knows their material and has the dexterity to finish their goals. I will say that your privacy or outside life will seem to be greatly overstepped if you choose to continue henceforth.
I never received a rejection so it probably means they are still figuring things out with their planning and organization. I will say the only reason I have a negative score on glassdoor is that the interview went close to 2 hours and I had to signal to the interviewer through nonverbal communication I was not feeling comfortable anymore. This can be easily fixed because the harder things to change are already positive (e.g. culture and technical aptitude are great).

Question 1
It felt like a test from upper-division courses in computer science with an emphasis on summarizing it and less on the technical details.
