I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (Cincinnati, OH) in May 2007
Interview
My interview process was awesome. I posted the application and left to go on vacation to Daytona beach Fl. 2 days later I got the phone call and had to do the first round interview over the phone while I was sitting on the beach watching my wife(also a Prog employee) and 1 yr old daughter play in the sand. I had to answer questions like.....name a sitiation that I was in that was bad and had to turn it into a good outcome. what I did and how I did it. describe a situation where I had an dificult customer and how did I resolve the situation. questions like that I had to do 20 of them. My advice would be just be open and honest to the questions and think about times you have been in these type of situations and what you did.

Question 1
What is the biggest part of any process that you have changed to make the process better and what was your involvement.
STAR Format. Can be redundant. Candidates who interview better than you perform will get promoted before you at Progressive. It is often made to feel intimidating with 2 interviewers. There are usually about 8-10 questions in any position.

Filled out online application. Was contacted for a phone interview about a week later. Standard behavioral STAR questions. Passed. Then comes the online assessment test. A few math and vocab questions. Up next backround check. Then was scheduled for an in person interview. Interviewed with 2 people, next day sent an email saying I wasn't chosen.
