I applied online. I interviewed at Providence in July 2016
Interview
Applied online. Received an automated email a few weeks later saying I was no longer being considered for the position.
Two weeks later I was surprised to receive a phone call from a recruiter requesting an interview. The interview went well and I was scheduled to speak with the hiring manager the following week.
By the way, I mentioned receiving the automated rejection email and was told by the recruiter that he had someone helping him screen applications who probably clicked the wrong button or didn't understand the role well enough to move me forward. That was disheartening. I imagine they miss out on a lot of great candidates due to poor candidate screening practices.
Nonetheless, spoke with the hiring manager the following week and had what seemed like a good coversation. She promised that I would hear from her or someone from the recruiting team within a week on next steps. I sent a thank you note, which was never acknowledged and then heard nothing for over 2 weeks.
I called the recruiter 3 weeks later as part of my normal follow up process, plus he specifically said to me during our phone interview, "If you have any questions during the recruiting process, please call me. I'll get right back to you." Left a message and never heard back...from anyone.
It's entirely possible that they decided to pass on me following the second interview OR it's possible that because of a mistake made earlier in the process (namely, my application erroneously being flagged as closed at the beginning of the recruiting process) I got lost in their discard pile despite being fully qualified for the role and having 2 positive interviews.
Either way, it was a disappointing experience. Both people I spoke with shared passionately about Mission Hospital's values, namely dignity and excellence. Unfortunately, neither value was executed well during my brief, confusing recruiting experience.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Providence (Hyderābād) in Feb 2025
