Interview
I interviewed with Punchcut in Oct 2017. My experience was terrible to say the least. Their internal team was a mess with no HR dept. They gave me an offer which I accepted. Weeks later, a few days before the joining date they started postponing the joining date indefinitely saying they had just lost a client. I was shocked and started interviewing again with other companies as I couldn't trust them anymore.
They had offered me a contract or a full time role but recommended I take the contract. Needless to say they treat contractors extremely shabbily and when I shared my experience with colleagues in the design community they said that they had had similar experiences with Punchcut being flaky and unprofessional.
The hiring process was unorganized and not transparent. At one point I witnessed senior management lying through their teeth. The moment I sensed this I declined the job offer and found myself a better job. The behavior of senior management strongly determines company culture and this was not a place I wanted to be a part of. Design agencies like Punchcut need to at least come up to industry standards with their hiring process.
