I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Quince (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2024
Interview
I had an initial phone conversation with an HR rep that went well overall. The conversation ended with her saying she would follow up early the following week and never followed up. I understand not responding to every email application, but you should give the courtesy to people you actually interview with an email back with an update. She was late to the call and the questions overall didn’t seem to be the most insightful to see if someone was good for this role.. poor experience and understand why people are saying to stay away from this company.

Interview
Intensive process but overall very positive. The recruiter I worked with was professional, responsive, and flexible. I had four rounds of interviews with expectations clearly communicated at each stage: short recruiter screening, standard hiring manager interview, case study with live review, bar raiser. The case study was definitely rigorous and required many hours of work, but when I presented to the hiring manager it was obvious she had actually reviewed my work ahead of time and asked meaningful questions during the live review. Like others, I may have been frustrated by the level of effort required and the later adoption of ideas from my case study if I hadn't gotten an offer. Now, however, it's clear the case study was extremely relevant to the actual job, and I'm grateful because it allowed me to understand the expectations of the role and prove myself during the interview process.
My only complaint would be about the length of the process—four interviews with case study plus reference checks plus some travel delays (I had personal travel already scheduled in the midst of the process; hiring manager had work travel at times)—all this meant it took eight weeks from first contact to offer.

Interview
Unprofessional! I was contacted by a recruiter for the Merchandising Manager position, I answered right away and it started off great. Within a few emails I had an interview set up with her to discuss my background. She was on time for the call we had a great conversation and I was told my background was a great fit for the position, and I would be moving along to the next step in the process. I was sent a link to schedule my interview everything was set to go. I logged on to my interview through google meet a few minutes early to make sure everything was set to go and waited. 15 minutes into the scheduled interview time I was still waiting to be let in. I emailed the recruiter to make sure everything was still set to find out that the Interviewer signed on and said I was not there. I answered immediately with screenshots assuring her that I was there. It took an hour but I finally received a text message that there was a technical issue and they would follow up shortly with next steps to reschedule. I waited for communication for 3 days and then followed up on rescheduling. I was assured that they would get back to me and they were still waiting on the issue to be fixed. The following say I received a copy and pasted message to thank me for applying however my background did not fit the position. I never had the opportunity to actually interview and no explanation as to why the change after a glitch on their end. Completely unorganized and unproffessional.
