I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at RBC in May 2010
Interview
The interview was very friendly. They were 2 people from the bank; one associate and one analyst. They asked me common questions about my resume, motivation to work for them and the reasons why I chose Investment banking. There were some technical questions about different valuation methodologies as well as the current economical situation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why is the price of an industrial company supposed to be lower than that of other companies?
Great convo for two rounds, but ghosting after the final with no rejection letter. I have to keep logging in to my portal to find out the result. Expecting more professional for them to handle the decision delivery
I was one of the earlier candidates to be interviewed, and at that time the process wasn’t very well organized. It took quite a while just to find the interviewer when I arrived, and the interview itself was conducted by two interviewers.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There was an on-the-spot assessment, similar to a short case study. Most of the questions were behavioral in nature, including questions about multi-tasking and managing multiple or competing deadlines.
Standard interview process, responsive hr team. overall good experience. Each stage was clearly communicated in advance, and the interviewers were professional, friendly, and genuinely interested in my experience. The questions were fair and relevant, and the conversation flowed naturally.
