      Interview

I recently had the opportunity to interview for the Mainframe Engineer position at RBC (Royal Bank of Canada). The interview was conducted by two individuals, the Technical Manager and the Functional Manager. After initial introductions, the interview proceeded with a few technical questions focused on Mainframe concepts, assessing my technical knowledge and expertise. Following the technical segment, the interviewers inquired about my experience with previous projects, allowing me to showcase my accomplishments and contributions in the field of Mainframe development. In the latter part of the interview, I responded to a series of situation-based and behavioral questions. These questions assessed how I would handle specific scenarios, interact with stakeholders, and manage pressure. Overall, the interview lasted around 35 to 40 minutes and was quite straightforward and comfortable. The interviewers were approachable and made the experience positive. I am hopeful about the potential opportunity and eagerly await the next steps in the hiring process.
