Very worst and strange interview I have ever attended. It was not at all technical. All questions were unrelated to automation testing. I cleared one of their most difficult leetcode questions. Post that they scheduled 2 interviews on the pretext that if a clear interview 1 then they will proceed to interview 2. Interview 1 was of 30 mins. It seemed the interviewers did not have any knowledge of automation. When I asked them what automation stratergy and tool you use in rakuten they were not able to answer. With that I could understand the level at which Rakuten's quality department works. In my current organization I have built several automation frameworks from selenium-appium to API RestAssured. I some how explained them the type of framework we used and the design pattern we followed (Even though , the questions were all non technical). After first round they told me that "My skillset does not fit their requirement". I think they had come pre decided to reject me.. All in all a terrible experience. If the interview are at this level. then I can only imagine the level of technical work Rakuten might be doing. I feel its good they rejected me.
