I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RealSelf (Seattle, WA) in July 2015
Interview
This was an on-site interview. On the same day I met another data scientist, one data engineer, two software engineers, CTO, product manager, and the human resource department. Lunch was provided, transit cost was covered. The whole process went smoothly, but I got no offer at the end. Probably this falls into the category: well-done, but not well enough.

Interview
Recruiter reached out 2 days after applying. Had a phone screen the following week, and and on-site the following week. They moved very fast! The actual interviews were very thoughtful. Interviewers were nice and conversational, not just firing questions at me.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at RealSelf (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2019
Interview
Was strung along for a Data Scientist position for three months, all the while being told without a hint of irony how fast-paced their office would be compared to my experience in the public sector. I asked for individual feedback after I got the decision, and the recruiter shot back that I "could have asked more questions" in the final interview, rather than giving me any substantive feedback.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RealSelf (Seattle, WA) in Oct 2019
Interview
Applied online. They sent me a case study which I submitted in 2days as instructed. They selected me for next round which was a phone screening with the hiring manager. Hiring manager was the lead data scientist. She seemed nice initially but I noticed she wasn’t really interested in speaking. She even stopped herself from yawning while I was answering an open ended question. She asked questions around the case study but she seemed really unenthusiastic in listening.
I answered the questions well, I believed but 2 days later I received a generic rejection email. Only she knows what went wrong apart from she not being very interested in talking to me.
A little bit of background - after I submitted the case study I received 2 other offers. I informed RealSelf about this and they still pushed the interview very far and it kind of looked like they were doing the interview for the sake of doing it. It was a red flag since beginning but I still kept chasing. In the end, it was a total waste of time and energy. I wouldn’t interview with them since this experience was bad and also I read about how they layed off 14% of the staff after making a good revenue.
