There was a phone screening followed by a coding challenge. The person conducting the phone screen seemed very nervous and made the whole thing quite awkward. After that, I completed the coding challenge. The directions for the challenge were extremely vague, and I was given no avenue for asking questions. The one question I did ask through an email to the interviewer went un-answered. I spent aprox. 10 hours working on the challenge. It took a week to hear anything back. When I did hear something it was simply that my solution to the challenge did not meet their standards. No criticism constructive or otherwise was provided. Now, I've spent more than 10 hours of my time giving this company free labor with absolutely nothing to show for it. they're lucky if I don't send them an invoice.
