I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Red Ventures (Charlotte, NC) in June 2017
Interview
They first gave a phone screen asking about my background and general questions about my resume. Next they set up a 1 hour technical phone interview where I answered questions about machine learning, followed by a case study. The questions focused on what I would do in certain situations, like if there were missing data or if there were outliers. In the case study, I was asked to list features that would be useful for analysis, specify the target variable and indicate which types of algorithms I would use and why I would use them. A few days later I was schedule for a round of on site interviews. I was given a sample case study to work on that was basically an old Kaggle competition. They asked me to prepare a 30 minute briefing on my findings to present on the interview day. The on site interview consisted of 6 back to back interviews with lunch in the middle. Most of the questions were about my background, why I was interested in the role and what I was looking for. There were no coding or white board sessions.

Interview
1st round is with the recruiter.
Then they give a case study.
Then, a technical round, based on the case.
I got ghosted after I completed the case study, which I worked on for hours. rude.

Interview
Phone screening with recruiter followed by a take home assignment. They said the take home should be 3-4 hours but realistically it takes a good 20. There were multiple parts involved and file structure requirements. I put a lot of effort into the assignment only to get completely ghosted. Not even a boilerplate rejection email. I am fine with being ghosted after a recruiter call but at least have the decency to answer a follow up email when a candidate spent their entire week on a take home.

Interview
Questions vary based on interviewer. It seems they just come up with some technical questions on the fly. IMO, if you know your stuff regarding traditional data science you can answer most questions.
