Interview
I recently interviewed with Resal for a Product Designer role and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The interview panel consisted of two members from the product design team. While I was looking forward to a meaningful discussion, I found their approach to be lacking professionalism in both their tone and the way they posed questions.
One of the interviewers, assigned me a design challenge on Thursday and required it to be submitted by Saturday at 5 PM—essentially over the weekend. This short timeline, especially during a weekend, felt inconsiderate. Despite meeting the deadline and putting effort into my submission, I received no follow-up for an entire week.
I reached out via email twice to inquire about the status of my application, but both attempts were ignored. This lack of communication demonstrated a lack of respect for my time and effort as a candidate.
While I understand the challenges of hiring, the unprofessional behavior and lack of courtesy during the process made for an overall negative impression of the company. Resal should consider improving their hiring process to reflect the same level of respect and professionalism they likely expect from candidates.

The questions asked were straightforward and relevant, focusing on my skills and experiences in a way that felt more like a friendly conversation than a rigorous interrogation. The interviewers were genuinely interested in my answers, nodding and smiling throughout, which helped in making the whole experience feel less daunting. Interview
a lead software engineer does a 2 part tech interview with you part1: hes asks to code the usual algorithms/data structures that we all study for, maybe reverse a tree or whatever your luck is part2: you go though a public opensource codebase and add a feature request to it so the interviewer can know if you can adapt to new codebases quickly, for example maybe he'll ask you to add the command multiply to memcached.
