I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds (Houston, TX) in Jan 2019
Interview
The number of hoops you have to jump through in the interview process is absolutely ridiculous. First you apply, like any normal job., and eventually they email you with further information if you are invited to move to the next round.
In round 2 you complete the application, which is then followed by 2 different untimed personality tests (they say it will take about 45 minutes), and then followed by three timed "aptitude tests" , one which deals with sequences, one which deals with spatial relations, and one with word problems. No calculator is allowed and it is better to NOT answer a question if you are unsure of the answer because wrong answers count AGAINST you.
Once that is complete you wait, and if you pass, you are invited in to the office for another test and an interview. You are "strongly encouraged" to wear business professional attire. Upon arrival you are given a paper with log-in information for you to take the test and are directed to a room with a bunch of computers where you answer the EXACT SAME QUESTIONS from the aptitude tests you previously took, still timed (15 minutes each for the sequences / spatial relations portions, 30 minutes for the word problems). Upon completion of the exam you are sent back to the front desk where you wait to see if you will get an interview.
After a few minutes of waiting, you are sent to a conference room where a Skype interview with HR will be held. It was less of an interview and more a confirmation with an HR representative of responses from the application process. This is as far as I got in the interview process, and for that I am thankful.
You spend more time asking yourself why you had to get dressed up in a suit and tie only to be interviewed by an HR associate in a different city wearing a blouse and yoga pants.

Interview
Zoom call very straight forward. They ask you about your personal habits outside of work because they dont allow drinking or smoking of any kind even on your own personal time. Im not a smoker or drinker but that was kind of off putting. Other than that it was a pretty nice experience.

Interview
Not much of a process. Was sent a link to complete an application and aptitude test that they estimated to take over 2 hours. I cannot stress how unrelated the test was to the position I applied for but it was just off putting for me. I will not devote that much time to an APPLICATION. I do not care how they see this, but they should know this process is likely why they have a high turn over. Starting your potential employees off with a bad taste in their mouth about your processes.

Question 1
An aptitude test likely to take hours away from my day. I was emailed a link Friday afternoon and told to finish it in 2 business days. I was emailed on Monday morning for not finishing it and was given an extension. This person clearly doesn't understand the concept of "business" days.

Take an aptitude test then go through an interview process if you pass. I could see the test being difficult for a lot of people, I was lucky because I just got done with teaching half a semester of high school algebra and that's what basically half the test. I would definitely spend a couple of hours on Kahn Academy and freshen up on algebra if you're really interested.
