They sent out an online interview to complete. An online assessment is pretty typical for software engineering roles, but this test was anything but typical. There was a full on personality test, a vocabulary section, a business vocabulary section, and a couple difficult pattern recognition sections. All of these are timed in short increments and quite intense. For a reasonable job I could justify such a non-standard test, but when they called me on the phone they told me the salary of the role was 50k. For a Software Developer!

Heard from a recruitment member via email upon applying. Following a response confirming I wanted to continue with the application, I was given an "IQ" assessment to finish. Upon scoring well and within the time frame we were asked to complete a skills assessment to match us to our supposed "dream placement". After completing all of these assessments, the company did not reach out for more than a week after which they finally sent a short rejection email with no feedback or information. Reviews on other platforms support this type of response, seemingly typical behavior.
