Had a great initial interview with HR, and was left feeling with a sense that this could be my next stop in my career. I proceeded to round two, which lasted over an hour and included two senior managers. The conversation went mostly smooth, there were good back and forth questions, etc. The call ended with "We think it went well and you will hear from HR soon!"... Then a week went by and no response, so I reached out via email to HR. No response. Then two more weeks went by and I reached out to HR via LinkedIn. Still no response. Then another week passed and I reached out to one of the managers I spoke with during the second interview. STILL NO RESPONSE.
I feel completely ghosted by this company after I was essentially promised that HR would follow up. It's fine that I didn't get the role, and yeah, I'm a little upset by that, but at least let me know so I'm not left wondering and declining other offers while I WAIT FOR YOU TO RESPOND TO AN EMAIL. It appears that there is only one HR person there, so I understand if things get busy, but a month later and no response after reaching out 3 separate times? It's time to move on and wish them the best finding their perfect unicorn candidate, as another reviewer mentioned. Such a shame that seemingly great companies pull these tricks at the last minute.
If HR sees this - it would be decent of you to at least respond with a "Thanks for your time but we aren't moving forward" email, at the least, after wasting hours of peoples lives between applying, studying for the interviews, and participating in interviews themselves. Some people, like myself, have to spend PTO and cancel prior obligations in order to work with your obviously busy schedule. As of this writing, the role that I applied for is still posted and there is seemingly zero movement on the position for myself or other candidates. I wish it wasn't this way but I do wish you the best.
