I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ring (Buenos Aires) in Apr 2020
Interview
This process was to be a contractor so it involved different companies.
Process Included:
- Phone screening with an HR Rep.
- Technical interview
- Technical interview with the client's technical lead. (Ring/Amazon).
- Technical/Cultural Interview with the technical lead
The overall process was very fast. Amazon doesn't waste your time. After the interview with the client, which looked very positive, I had an automated email from the employment company saying they went with another candidate. When.I requested feedback I heard nothing back.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ring (Malvern, PA) in Aug 2023
Interview
Conversational interviews on technical topics, coding, troubleshooting. Generally fine, but the hiring manager came in to the interview and said "I don't think you fit the rubric for this level" which gave me a weird feeling later that they had decided on an outcome before I spoke with them.

Interview
Had a phone interview with their Lead DevOps Engineer. The guys was on the move, you could hear his heavy breathing and he didn't have my resume and never saw it before, blaming it on the HR.
During my intro he tried to derail me to talk about the topic he is most comfortable with rather than my experience. At the end he added "I think I heard everything I wanted to hear" - so rude.
Very unprofessional. Seems like they dismissed my candidacy even before the call if they didn't bother to prepare for it, then why wasting my time? Would suggest staying away from the DevOps at Ring.
