I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Riot Games (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2016
Interview
Incredibly long, with many stages drawn out over months. It is pretty tough, but having seen it from the other side now, it is justified. The different stages test different parts - fit, values, and hard skills that are relevant to the role. In total, I had 10 or 11 interviews before I got the offer.

Interview was fun as we talked about games and did not get too technical. Had some behavioral questions that were pretty standard but interviewer did not seem satisfied with my responses
