The interview was very casual and pretty standard for a climbing facility. The management seemed to want to make it fit both for their needs and my needs/wants in terms of lifestyle and professional development.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Rock Spot Climbing (Lincoln, RI) in Jan 2022
Interview
I sent and email with my resume to the email address listed on a hiring poster at the Lincoln, RI location. This email was forwarded to an interviewer, who directed me to apply through their online portal. Following this application, I followed-up via email on 24 days later and didn't hear back from the interviewer until another three days had passed. Following this exchange, we set up a date and time for an in person interview, which went fairly well with fairly standard questions and one curveball (name you top 5). After my interview, I was told that I would hear about a decision by the end of that week or after a full week had passed at the latest. I have yet to hear back.
EDIT: I received an offer five days following the original estimate.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you received excellent customer service.
I sighed up online and it was great. Then I went in to work and I got to learn a lot about rock climbing and how to teach others. Overall I recommend climbing to all ages and all abilities. Everyone should try it out.
