Anonymous Interview Candidate in Brighton Marina village, England
I applied online. I interviewed at SEA LIFE (Brighton Marina village, England) in July 2023
30 people in one room after the same job. ridiculous and waste of time to interview so many candidates. felt very rushed only had 2 mins to talk about myself and so missed out a lot of experience and just felt like a massive waste of time.
- group activities no individual questions

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at SEA LIFE (Blackpool, England) in June 2023
So much fun and different. Engaging and entertaining. Friendly managers that where there and was a variety of stuff to do. Involved an acting exercise, performing a fake shark talk and then a 1 to 1 interview. I got another job before the decision was made about if I had the job or not but from experiences working for Merlin in the past they are quick to get back to you
- What do you know about Sealife? What dates can't you do? Are you free October half term? Are you comfortable with being a costume character

I applied online. I interviewed at SEA LIFE in Mar 2023
It was a group interview consisting of around 20-25 people in a classroom like setting. We were given 3 types of “tests” within our given group to show our skill set we had to offer 1) bring something sentiment/value to you to present and talk about - we had to do this in front of everyone 2) a mini tour around the facility in which we had to learn about a certain type of fish and then in our group talk about it in a specific style (tv presenter, hostess, (gameshow presenter) - I had it in a news reporter format. 3) we had to come up with an idea in our groups of what to create if the CEO gave us an unlimited budget for a new section in the aquarium and draw it. We also had to included the type of marketing. Overall the experience was a bit boring for me since I mass applied and expected a 1-1 interview. If you like talking and doing group interviews then this is for you and go ahead for it but I don’t think it’s worth going through it all for the pay they were offering, at most you can gain some experience if working with animals is something you want to do but again I think working at a farm will be more interesting. I quickly learned this is not for me.
- Was not a 1-1 no questions were given directly

Fast responses at each stage, relatively enjoyable hiring process and assessment centre. Basic customer service skills and scenarios were tested through roll play and discussion with group and individuals. Overall a decent experience

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SEA LIFE in May 2022
Very comfortable and informal, asked the general interview questions about customer service but also asked me about what I enjoy in my free time which felt like they were interested in me as a person. Very friendly interviewer and I received great feedback on my answers
- What do you think of first and last impressions?
Anonymous Interview Candidate

Really quick and the interviewer's were friendly! You likely needed more experience to progress to round 2. I had some professional experience from a summer job at a fair but it wasn't enough/what they were looking for.
- Give me an example of a way you responded innovatively to a problem?
Anonymous Employee

It was an easy phone call with management, no hard or trick questions. Just answering what you would do in certain scenarios, and background information about yourself. Less than 30 minutes long.
