Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions on OOPS concept and SQL queries, DBMS related questions were asked. There was in- depth discussion on my projects.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at SLB (Pune) in July 2020
Interview
I got a call from consultant who asked very basic questions about my work and then shared my resume with the HR. After a couple of days, I received a call from the HR to discuss my profile and then she shared the profile with technical panel for evaluation. After another couple of days a short telephonic interview was scheduled.
There were 2 people in the panel, who started with basic questions, followed by a few scenario based questions and then some administration level questions. I thought the interview was going well because the JD was an exact match to my profile and I had worked in all the technologies asked for. I was being honest about everything. But the problem I guess was, the interview panel was not experienced and was not open to ideas, they wanted to hear what they have done in their projects and what they have implemented. I guess they believed a problem can have only one solution which they already know.
I answered almost 75-80% of their questions and gave a logical explanation for whatever I could not answer. But after a couple of hours I got to know that a negative feedback has been shared.
I do not know if they were expecting me read the answers from their mind. Hard Luck!
