I applied through university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at SLB in Sept 2015
Interview
Applied at career fair on campus. Was emailed a week later for an on campus interview. 30 minute behavioral interview that felt very relaxed and comfortable. About 3 weeks later was notified that I'd been invited to participate in a 2 day second round interview. The first day consisted of a group dinner and a lengthy series of technical presentation, presented by the applicants, on a business segment we had been notified of before hand. We worked in teams and this took until about midnight. Next a classic "popsicle sticks and rubber bands" team challenge was posed, and we were divided into teams of 5. The recruiters walk around with a clip board and take note of your leadership and role within the group. My team won ;) A few other small challenges were peppered in, and by the end of Day 1 it was nearly 3 am. We were awoken at 7am the next morning to take a group field trip out to a Schlumberger rig/field site. We toured several facilities and were given many opportunities to ask questions. ASK QUESTIONS. We had lunch then headed back to the hotel for a brief exit interview and dinner. The exit interview mostly just asked what business segment interests you most. Quick and painless. Overall, be social and do not look tired, even though you will be!
1st round interview included short technical question, and telling about myself and the projects I worked on.
Not difficult/or hard, but just need to explain well enough to tell the logic process
It was an on campus hiring. First they shortlisted based on CV. Then second round was group discussion where we were given abstract topics like "Half filled glass of water" and were asked to discuss. This was also an eliminatory round. The final round was more of a HR round, they asked behavioural questions, few puzzles (very easy) and general knowledge questions
