I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sabah (NY) (Austin, TX)
Interview
Video call with someone at NY Headquarters, then in-person interview with Manager at the shop. Opportunity to meet other shopkeepers while there. Really just want to get an idea of your "vibe". Hired on the spot.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Some minor actual questions about experience, they are looking for interest/experience with hospitality (i.e. describe a difficult customer you've worked with in the past and how you resolved the issue). They are mostly concerned with your vibe/how artsy and nice you are.
Applied online from website posting with resume, cover letter, etc. Zoom call with hiring manager, CEO, then an in-person meeting. Pretty casual, more of a vibes test than anything else.
Had 2 interviews, one with the head of the warehouse operation and one with the CEO. Both interviews went pretty well I thought, but after doing some more research on the company it seems that I wouldn't have fit in; they are more of a hipster company. Overall the guys who interviewed me seemed nice, though. I would have appreciated a rejection email, though. All good, I'm making double what they advertised now and am in a much better spot than I was when I applied for them.
