I had applied online and they emailed me fairly quickly to schedule an interview. I came by after work and that's where things started going downhill. They didn't have a front desk person, so I had to ask someone who worked there to help me out, and he seemed very frustrated because everyone went to him for information. However, he was very nice. I sat there waiting over half an hour before the guy that helped me called his boss to ask where he was. Turns out he forgot about my interview! I was then told I could reschedule, so I said sure. On my way out the door, he called me back in and said actually, if I wanted to wait, they'd be in soon. I was fine with waiting, since I had already been there for a while. However, when I actually met with one of the owners, I felt like it wasn't worth the wait at all. He barely asked me any questions, he didn't let me speak, and the whole interview took 5 minutes. He seemed disappointed with the fact that I didn't have CRM experience, even though my resume clearly doesn't include that, and he didn't bother getting to know me after that. I thought all of this could have been avoided if he'd indicated in the job posting, or at least stated in the initial email, that CRM experience was absolutely essential. I was definitely let down. Who forgets about an interview and then barely asks any questions?
