I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sage (London, England) in Aug 2021
Interview
Two interviews. Both had a mix of behavioural/competency questions. I had to complete a task-ordering test before the first interview, but it wasn't mentioned in the interview itself. During the second interview, post-questions, I was given a 10-minute written task to then read out and discuss.
+ Interviewers were friendly.
- Lots of rearranging interviews, introducing new roles during interviews, and waiting for information.

Question 1
Why are you interested in editorial work as opposed to other kinds of work in publishing?
What skills should an editorial assistant have?
Who are some of our main competitors? How are we different?
Started with a recruiter call which went positively, got invited to a first round interview where they got me to do a task and then asked three competency-based questions. Wasn't invited for a second round, feel like the feedback given was unfair and not helpful for future applications.
An online interview and in person interview, online interview lasted 30 minutes and in person interview was 30 minutes working through a task i completed before the day and 30 minutes behavioural questions
They offered no follow up and were disorganised - they never responded to my emails and didn't keep me updated. The interview itself was straightforward but I was disappointed in the lack of communication
