Despite the negative reviews about the company, I convinced myself to apply and appear in the interview.
The first round was with the HR. It went smooth. Good display of professionalism.
Second round was with the team lead. It started off okay; I could sense something off about it but initially I could not interpret that very well. I was told that interview is divided into three part, introduction, questions and lastly I get to ask questions regarding company or the role itself. After the introduction, I was presented with a scenario and was told that there is no wrong answer and that I need to be creative. I presented some answers and the interviewer said they are convincing but it was not what he was hoping to hear. The interviewer was getting pushy to get the answer that he hoped to hear. In the later stages, I could sense the interview turning into interrogation. In the later stages, there were some behavioural questions that made me uncomfortable and the way they were asked/presented was concerning. I tried to discuss how I feel about / interprete those behavioral questions and long story short, the interviewer lost his composure and I was told right away that I did well in the technical part but for behaviour part he had some red flages. He then wrapped up the meeting saying that he will think about it and unfortunately I was not given the opportunity to ask questions.
Compiling all what happened - I felt the people with position likes to exercise their authority.
