      Game Development(Long-term) Interview

      22 Sept 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Scientific Games (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2021

      Interview

Video Call Interview: I was invited to a group video call interview with the Senior Director of Game Development and other members of the game development team. I was asked a few questions about my background and work experience, then some technical programming questions. Testing Phase: I was invited to the testing phase, at which we were sent a folder of art assets, a general outline for a game, and we were to spend 1-2 weeks building a game off the instructions. The overall functions were left vague to allow for unique interpretation and flexibility for custom features. I did not make it past this stage and was accidentally ghosted by HR until the director responded to my emails informing an offer had been extended to another candidate.
