I talked about an unexpected oil seal leak I came across out in the unit I was working in. I notified the operator. I cleaned up/abated the leak. I offered to participate in the lock out process if the proper repairs needed maintenance there to do their part of it. I replaced the clean up supplies I used - in this case? It was an absorbent diaper. I made sure i wrote about it in my turn over log and gave all the details clearly I had. I also emailed my boss in to make sure he knew about it because it was a safety hazard, not just a normal plant issue and I’m aware enough of how to make my boss look good that I help to do that whenever I can.
