I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Sephora (Kansas City, MO) in July 2015
Interview
A lot of people talk about group interviews, however, after witnessing a Season/Holiday hiring session, I'm thinking that "group" interviews are just for seasonal people.
But anyways, very easy interview. They just want to know your retail experience and "people skills" and how they will benefit from hiring you.
I will telly you right now, that even though you may want to start out in a specific area, they will make you cashier (which is normal of most retail positions) however, instead of being there for a few weeks, you may be there for months. Now, I got lucky because i was hired right before they hired for seasonal, so as soon as the seasonal employees were on the floor, they stuck me in Skincare where I wanted to be, but I've heard from others that they were stuck on the registers for upwards of three months when they started.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They ask you the questions that everyone else talks about: "If a client dropped a perfume they purchased after they left your store and came back and wanted it replaced, would you do it?" Blah blah blah. They basically want to know if you want to please the customer.
Applied online. One in person group interview. Straight forward questions about background and situational scenarios. What if questions. Phone offer after wards. No surprises. Very easy as a retail job interview.

Question 1
What would you do if a customer broke a perfume bottle in store?
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sephora (New York, NY)
Interview
Two-step interview process: group interview with managers, followed by one-on-one with store director. It was quick and didn’t take long to get hired. It was very well communicated and direct with my responsibilities.
2 interviews: first is with the manager and second one with the director. Interview can be stressful but this would be one of the easier interviews compared to certain others. There are some scenario questions. Example; if you're helping a customer in front of you but the phone also rings what do you do?
