I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sephora (Chandler, AZ) in June 2023
Interview
I was interviewed by the manager and another lead beauty advisor later on. After I applied online I went for an in-person interview once, and I was asked about my background in beauty. I had to demonstrate a knowledge of beauty and skincare products and ingredients. It was fairly straightforward. I had to roleplay that I was selling products to them proving that I could sell products that would address their concerns.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked about how comfortable I was selling products and applying product to customer's to help them chose the best item to fit their needs.
Pretty standard interview. A lot of the questions emphasized selling to the customer so focus on that. If they ask what your favourite product is, don’t just say what it is. Try to sell it to the interviewer.
