Simple phone conversation, where they verified my former safety record and experience. It was a very straight forward process. If you've ever applied for a trucking company, this will be basically the same as all the rest. They need to begin to form trust.

Typical of the industry. It's more of a request from them to collect data like your driving record, drug test, clearinghouse history, etc. Sure, you make small talk and all, but all that matters when it comes down to is the data.
