I applied online. I interviewed at Simply Business (London, England)
Interview
First intro call with HR. Then Zoom (skype) call to talk through my CV, what I was looking for and what they were looking for. Thirdly, on site test to draw a project plan, then 2 panel interview. No competency based questions, didn't appear to be a fair process that could be repeatable across numerous candidates. Only one person asked questions.
Hello and thanks for leaving your feedback following your interview.
We assess candidates across a variety of interview types, depending on the type of role we're hiring for. On-site tasks (like the one you took part in) allow us to see how candidates work through a project that they are likely to experience in the role. We ensure the same task is used consistently across all candidates and couple this with "strengths and values" interview so we get to understand more about you in addition to your experience.
We're sorry things didn't progress to an offer this time around and we hope you'll consider future opportunities within Simply Business.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Simply Business (Boston, MA) in Mar 2019
Interview
Overall, a very smooth interview process. Everyone was approachable, on time, and enthusiastic to meet me. The process was transparent, starting with a phone screen, a Zoom interview with the hiring manager, and an onsite with four members from various specialties and responsibilities. For all of the brainpower in the office, there were no "gotcha" questions, and definitely not a speck of ego in the room. I walked away from the onsite interviews excited for the position and to be a part of the team!
