      Field Service Engineer Interview

      28 Nov 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Sky in Nov 2017

      Interview

Online application followed by a telephone interview. application was fairly challenging but completed in a few hours. Was contacted the day after to arrange a interview, interview was arranged for 2.50pm a few days later. Got the call through a private number at 2.59pm ( was getting worried that wasn't going to receive call) interview only lasted about 25 mins but seemed to go well. Got email the morning after saying "Unfortunately on this occasion you didn’t quite meet the requirements for this role, therefore we’re unable to progress your application" Also states due to high volume of interviews they are unable to give feedback. Absolutely gutted and worst of all I don't even know why I don't meet the requirements.

      Anonymous employee

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Sky in June 2017

      Interview

Hearing from the radio that sky we're hiring I really like the idea of working for sky! It's really the only job I've been interested in so decided to aply First I had to do an assessment on line answering lot's of questions about how I react to certain situations , and generally how I am as a person. This is not as easy as it sounds as friends didn't pass this point because it tells you at the end if you have been successful or not. If you have then they will invite you to the 2nd part of the process a telephone interview. However after waiting for over a month for my email explaining we're and when the telephone interview will take place I had to call them twice to ask what was happening finally I got my email after lots of chasing? ? It takes about 45 minutes and it's generally questions about yourself, your knowledge, your understanding of the position of the job and how much you know about customer service, once again they tell you how you do there and then which is great! After this you are finally asked to come to there assessment centre for a face to face practical test and lots of people asking you to jump through lots of hoops for (4 1/2 hour's? ) It's extremely brutal as they are relentless with the questions and the process in general .. The good part again is they tell you if you have been successful there and then. My process was to be kept in a room and they would take people out one by one until there was only 5 people including me left! The guy came in and said that's the hard part done this is the good news congratulations you have passed through our strict assessments welcome to sky! ! He also told us that the job was only 95% guaranteed as this was subject to passing a medical, credit check, and references, All pretty much standard stuff .. he said baring any unforeseen circumstances welcome to Sky.. and that was that they will now be in touch with us in the next couple of weeks to make the necessary arrangements. . Well that was on the
