I applied online. I interviewed at Smartsheet (Seattle, WA)
Interview
First was a phone screen with HR, typical kind of questions, go over your background type of stuff
A few weeks went by, but then the pace of the rest of the process was very quick (Shout out to HR for being in touch and responsive the whole time)
The first interview was a business case presentation, where you play the part of a Smartsheet Consultant presenting the case of why Smartsheet will help with their business problems. You are given a deck before hand, so take time understanding it to build your presentation. -- The demo lasts for about 30 min and then its about 1.5 hours of questions regarding the demo and then methodology type questions.
If successful, you will be moved on to talk to the VP. Scheduled block time was for an hour but it depends on what he wants to ask you. He is very conversational and asks great questions pertaining to you and your background.
If all goes well from there, they will ask for references to contact.
All around, it was a great, well thought out and planned process!
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Smartsheet (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2024
Interview
I found Smartsheet's interview process to be extremely unprofessional and insulting. After applying for the SC Position on the company website, I received an email from a Smartsheet recruiter wanting to set up a phone screen. I replied the same day letting the recruiter know that I had selected the following Thursday on her online calendar for us to connect. When the day of the interview came around, I received an email from the recruiter, 15 minutes before our scheduled start time, stating that her "laptop shut down" and we would have to reschedule and to let her know my availability for the following week. I provided my availability for the following week within 15 minutes of receiving her email and she just never got back to me. I followed up on Monday, and then again on the following Monday and still nothing. I spent hours prepping, all to never even get the chance to interview. If the position is not hiring anymore or I am no longer being considered, at least have the decency to communicate that.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Smartsheet (Bellevue, WA) in Sept 2024
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter for a phone screen, and when the time came, she mentioned she had technical difficulties and would need to reschedule. Totally okay!
She then proceeded to ghost me and never work to reschedule, even after I reached out again a week later to confirm that the process would move forward, never an explanation or anything, Felt incredibly disrespectful especially since I was really excited about the opportunity. Never felt treated so poorly by a recruiter during the interview process
Very easy interview, started with a behavioral screening, then a more in-depth discussion, followed by a process presentation. The team was very responsive and I heard back with an offer within a few days.
