Application
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Snap (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2016
Interview
First round google hangout interview. The interviewer was very nice, and we had a nice conversation afterwards.
Had an onsite which 3 out of 4 interviewers were great, and lunch was hosted by the manager which gave me insights into Snapchat.
The 1 out of 4 interviewer that "wasn't great" was pretty bad. It felt like they didn't want to be there, and were more interested in what's on their Mac than the interview. If these people don't what to do an interview, don't make them, Snapchat. It reflects poorly on your company and ruins it for your candidate. This person alone is what makes this a negative review - because of how bad this single person was. I'm serious. TAKE NOTE!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Combinations of coins that reaches a sum without repeats. 2-D find the shortest distance (aka BFS). String manipulation and comparison. First 2 numbers in an array that sum up to N - extend to first 3 numbers in a array.
The interview was through google hangouts and there was one interviewer probably in his apartment or some noisy location. He started out to explain the size of the team, the requirement from each member to wear various hats while working on testing like being a part of front end, back end together due to the small size of the team. A lot of review into the role and the team.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Snap (Venice, CA) in July 2016
Interview
Applied through employee referral. The process took approximately 3 weeks.
A phone screen was conducted through google hangout. The interview question was elementary dfs, didn't do well on the problem but had a joyful talk with my interviewer.
Onsite was one week later, which consists of three rounds of coding and one round of behavior questions. Coding Problems were about bfs, dfs, backtracking, Trie trees and so forth. The overall difficulty was above average. However interviewers were patient and willing to help. Got stuck severals times during coding, my interviewers were happy to make clarifications and help point out corner cases.
