I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Snap in June 2021
Interview
Overall my interview experience was neutral, trending negative. Hiring manager seems like a great person, but the team left a bit to be desired. Most of the interviews seemed inappropriately informal. I met with a mix of HRBP, Recruiting managers and Senior recruiters.
First round wasn't an interview at all. More of a Q&A with the hiring manager.
Second interviewer was very informal and borderline inappropriate. Lots of swearing and how this person spoke about their experience being a recruiter at Snap made it seem they don't care much for the candidate experience (foreshadowing).
Third interviewer was pleasant. Seemed like a great person and we seemed to have a thoughtful and engaging conversation.
Fourth interviewer was pretty standard. All behavioral style questions.
Fifth interview was the worst. It was the end of the day and they seemed very distracted. They were speaking to their spouse off camera on multiple occasions and seemed completely disengaged. It was clear they were not listening to my responses because they asked the same clarifying questions a couple times.
A couple days later I received a rejection email from the recruiter for recruiters. It was a generic rejection email which left a sour taste in my mouth. They didn't call and didn't attempt to personalize the rejection email, aside from my name.
My experience was very telling about how they value candidates and I don't think it would have been a fit should the outcome have been different.

Question 1
Standard behavioral, sourcing, relationship management, etc.
Very straightforward. Great questions and they seem to care about the candidate experience. Met with a few people from my potential team and they seemed very welcoming. Great experience. A+
