      Account Manager Interview

      12 Apr 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Snap in Mar 2022

      Interview

Standard 4 part interview process. First had a phone screener with the recruiter, then had a 30-minute behavioral-style interview with an Account Manager Manager. Following this was a take-home assignment where I was tasked to create a QBR-esque presentation using some data and assets that were provided. This type of task was nothing new to me, but I spent quite some time on the presentation to make it visually compelling with digestible insights. The presentation was rejected a few days later without feedback. Interestingly, 2 weeks following the rejection, the recruiter reached back out to let me know my assignment was "re-graded" and that they'd like me to move onto the panel interview. That made me feel weird, because they either A) offered someone the position and they rejected so they had to go back to the candidate pool, or B) there was that much internal disarray that my assignment was actually improperly graded. The panel interview itself was actually enjoyable. It consisted of 5 30-minute interviews with individuals from varying commercial teams. Everyone I spoke with was engaged and seemed genuinely curious to get to know me. 2 of the 5 interviewers were not the people originally scheduled, which happens, but it did throw off some of my prep-notes. I felt like I did very well on 4/5 of the interviews, the only one I felt I underperformed was the last interview, where the fatigue was starting to set. 3 days later I got a rejection email from the recruiter, and wasn't given a response when I had asked for feedback. What's new...

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Snap (Austin, TX) in Jan 2026

      Interview

The interview process was long, roughly 6-7 interviews and a take home assessment. One of the interviews was a 1.5 hour long panel with 3 interviews back to back. Everyone was very nice and time flied by during the interviews. I'd recommend making the process shorter, this took 2 months to complete

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Snap

      Interview

Interview process was quick and efficient. They really moved things fast internally, likely needed new role soon for Q4 (this speed may not be normal). Had initial screener call with recruiter, very standard. Progressed to HM interview which was also very standard. Moved on to a take home assignment where I completed a mock QBR deck (if you have agency or client facing experience this shouldn't be too difficult but go the extra mile here and make a great deck). Then went onto a panel interview of 3 back to back interviews with different team members. Finally, I had an interview with a director and got an offer the next day. Overall great process. Everyone was very friendly and the recruiter was super helpful and proactive.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Very formal AM interview process, no curveballs. Just asking about your work experience, lots of behavioral questions, some hypotheticals. Be ready to have some STAR stories in your back pocket. Not nearly as difficult as Google Account Strategist interview for reference.
