I applied online. About 2 weeks later, got a call with a lady who asked about my skills/interest. She also asked weird question about what values do I find most important for business. It threw me off a bit, but okay. She submits my name to the hiring manger.
A week later, I have an online interview with HR and the guy who is head of department I'd be working with. The interview was very conversational. HR walked me through my job which would be mainly updating the website. The guy went through my resume. He asked a bunch of questions, about my articles and campus radio show. He even searched up my radio show as if finding "proof" of it's existence. Anyway, he saw my show and they both read one of my articles. He wanted more writing samples. I am used to sending writing samples, but it would be more professional if it was included in the application process. The interview ended well. We were like goodbye, thanked them for the interview. I sent them both the two articles with another thank you, written in email.
Two weeks later, I get a nicely worded inspirational rejection.
