I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at SolarCity (Roseville, CA) in June 2014
Interview
Meet with them at a mixer, talked with many employees, enjoyed some food and drinks. They painted a nice picture, except for one RSC who came across as a immature little punk. Went to a face to face interview with the same RSC I meet at the meeting. He and his buddy already had their mind made up and it was a waste of everyone's time. They did me a favor, I work with an ex-employee of theirs and he says it is a joke....HUGE turnover, takes forever to get your commissions, extremely long hours.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at SolarCity (Las Vegas, NV)

You first get phone screened by a recruiter. Then you meet with a couple of the regional sales managers and you then will have an interview with one of the directors usually.

The most unprofessional company I have ever come across. Completely disrespectful and unprofessional throughout the whole process. Had multiple 10 minute "interviews" then told I would meet with director. Then they pulled a bait and switch and I met with some loser who said I'd be better for a different job in the company. He asked me why solar. I gave him 2 reasons and he said there was one more, because its "cool". I almost started crying I was laughing so hard, what a salesman! Final interview was over webcam and the guy never showed up. I then emailed my recruiter and said I was no longer interested in the company and was very disappointed by the lack of professionalism.
Run far away. Solar is a joke to begin with but if you believe in it at least go with a real company. Unless you like screwing around all day and smoking cigs in the parking lot. Seriously run

Fairly Easy...as they need to Churn and Burn Employees. Unless you say something real stupid , you get hired easy. They have recruiters that call you AND TYPICALY IF YOU HAVE A PULSE , YOUR HIRED.
