Sophos interview questions

After application, a recruiter contacted me and we had a short basic interview about my resume, experiences, what the role is about, etc., it was said that next Monday I will be contacted for sure (it was a Thursday). One week after the promised response I wrote an email to get information, 3-4 days later I got a template rejection email.

My initial screening interview with the recruiter located in India for the AUS role was a disappointing experience. The conversation raised concerns about their familiarity with core cybersecurity concepts, one of many examples: referring to blue teaming as forensics and red teaming as monitoring and detection, which reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of these roles. The communication style was also quite blunt and, at times, came across as dismissive. When I asked for clarification on certain points, the responses were vague and unhelpful, which made the interaction feel overly scripted. The experience left me questioning the depth of domain knowledge in the early hiring stages and whether candidates are being evaluated effectively.
