    Real family community and internal support from local and virtual teams. Good product and reputation in industry.

    Cons

    Marketing budget not as high as some larger competitors, but that is naturally to be expected.

    good sales team, good opportunity to get to know the industry

    Cons

    very poor management, micromanagement, no training, no perspective within the company

    Advice to Management

    listen to your employees, provide sufficient training for your directors and higher managers on how to manage their teams. Stop micromanagement

    You get an opportunity to be a part of new product development in Security Industry

    Cons

    Goals set by Top management are adulterated somewhere by the middle management as they are not very experienced. Result of which they un-necessarily pressurise their subordinates. Hard work is not materialised in the form of Salary hike

    Frequent Anonymous surveys for the employees about their managers Review salaries of employees who are in the lower bands (1 to 4)

    Nothing worth mentioning, nothing good to harp on about.

    Cons

    Unprofessional and directionless. High turnover, highly strung managers. Extreme micromanagement. And on and on.

    Get a Grip.

    Exposure to latest technology. Friendly teammates you can always turn to for help. Team leader is keen to listen and solve your problem.

    I have been working at Sophos full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Modern IT security technology. Good place if you want to have experience of SLA and working in a large company.

    Cons

    Customers are extremely demanding and they tell you to fix the problems when staying the phones for hours. If not, sales team will join the customers together to push support team. This is unbelievable and ridiculous as sales usually don't handle customers' dissatisfaction. You will then question if sales are working with you the same company but not get any pay from customers. Most of them are not handling... customers' complain but just giving more pressure to support team. Work is challenging and you will find hard to balance. Support department is running 10 hours a day and everyone must stick on the phone and cases only with some short breaks. When you think everyone in each department is working hard like you, guys from Labs will tell you they are going to gym or bicycle everyday at least 1 hour during business hours. There is no work/life balance in support department.

    I have been working at Sophos full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Can't think of any. Worst place I have ever worked at. There are some good people in the team but company is lacking any direction and they are being wasted here in this team.

    Cons

    Management is next to nothing. They are more interested in their physical fitness and very particular with gym and other biking activities then any team management.

    Advice to Management

    Need a complete overhaul of management otherwise this company will go down big time.

    Bad work culture. Management next to nothing. They are more keen on keeping themselves fit and spending more time at Gym and other personal activities then working with the team.

    Needs a complete overhaul of managers. Need people who knows what they are doing or this company will go down big time.
