      Flight Attendant Interview

      4 Mar 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Davie, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Spirit Airlines (Davie, FL) in Feb 2017

      Interview

Ok so just like everyone else said on here if you are going to a Spirit airline FA interview, be prepared for an early start to the day and a long end to the day *if you get a job offer*. I'll try my best to keep this short but yet informative. So at approximately 8am you have about 400-500 all meet in a big ballroom where the HR person and a flight attendant give everyone a general overview of the company. After about 90 mins everyone gets split up into groups of 80-90 based on the color of their name tag. You then go up in front of the room, introduce yourself and say the number that is on your name tag, mines was 12. You pick a ridiculous question out of a fishbowl, read it out loud and answer the question on the spot. I'm guessing it's to show the judges how quick you are when on the spot, which is fine but you're going to be on the spot when they ACTUALLY INTERVIEW YOU. so after that process ends, the judges go outside for 30 mins then come back with their decisions on who gets cuts and who stays. I and about 40 others got cut in my group. I and the 40 others who got cut wasn't really giving a fair shot at actually getting interviewed for the position. So the day ended for me and 250+ people who got cut in the first round. I even heard from a person that was apart of another group that his group had 90 people in it and 80 got cut. I flew in from Western New York and Spirit does not pay for your plane ticket, transportation, living expenses, or food. They don't pay for not one of those things. It is a HUGE RISK if you do NOT live in the Ft. Lauderdale area or in Florida in general. Now I did make connections when I was down there. Met many cool people for across the country and did at least party a little while I was in the area and for that, I do not regret going to the so called *interview*.There was also this girl who swore in her fishbowl response and still made it pass the first round so it kinda seem that Spirit Airlines don't know what they are looking for. For all those flight attendants hopefuls out there. Hear me out there are some positives for going down there for the interview but Spirit Airlines as far as the flight attendant position goes, they do NOT know what they want. STAY CLEAR FROM APPLYING to SPIRIT AIRLINES. I will apply to a place where i feel that the airline would want me to be apart of their family. Not trying to sound unprofessional but there were MANY MANY people who gave GREAT responses but they were turned away. It's a huge risk to go down there but Spirit Airlines does not know what they are actually looking for.
