      Flight Attendant Interview

      3 Dec 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Atlantic City, NJ
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Spirit Airlines (Atlantic City, NJ) in Dec 2014

      Interview

After submitting my application online, I received an invitation for an invite only group interview about a week later. The interview had about 120 people who showed up and was broken up into 3 different phases. Phase 1: Each person goes up one by one. They each state their name, where they're from and the number they give you during check in. You then pick a question out of a bowl and you have to answer it. After everyone goes they give you a 30 minute break and they make their first cuts. If your number is called, that means you didn't make it to the next round. Phase 2: after a 45 minute break, they break the remaining candidates in 2 groups. then each group is broken up into smaller groups if 5-6 people. You and your group have to create your own airline and come up with 5 qualities that your airline will have. but BEWARE they are watching you the entire time! Make sure you're you're seriously participating! They give you about 20 minutes to do everything, then each group has to present their airlines to the other groups. After that they give you an hour break. When you get back they make the second cuts. If you make it to this point, they call you up one by one to schedule your individual interview for the next day. Phase 3: Be prepared to wait 2-3 hours after your scheduled time to finally be interviewed. but ARRIVE ON TIME. they take notice of that. The interview is conducted by 2 representatives at a table so its 2:1. The interview consists of reading something aloud (pretty much what the flight attendants say in the beginning of a flight before take off. The thing you read has blank spaces where you have to come up with a destination and arrival time to fill in). After that they ask you a couple questions like 'Tell me about yourself" and "Tell me about a time where you had experienced some confrontation at the workplace". etc. Then they send you back into the waiting room. After about 20-30 minutes that every one in your time slot goes, they call everyone up and put everyone in two groups. One group consists of the people who made it, the other are the ones who are getting cut. If you make it, you'll be brought in for fingerprinting, drug testing and the back ground check, etc
