I applied online. I interviewed at Spring Financial (Vancouver, BC) in Oct 2025
Interview
I applied for the Loan Advisor position after seeing a vacancy posted on October 8th. I heard back on October 10th to schedule the first round of interviews, which was a phone interview. The questions were quite straightforward—mostly basic behavioral ones like “How do you handle rejection?” or “What have you learned from your past work experiences?”
A few days later, I was invited for an in-person interview at their Vancouver office, where I met with the manager. The questions were again very similar to the first round—nothing too complex. The same day, I received the background check form, which I completed right away. Within two to three business days, I got confirmation that everything was cleared, followed by an offer.
Overall, the interview process was smooth and organized. The company follows a very professional, corporate-style hiring approach—they take their time to review and respond, so don’t expect an immediate decision. My advice for future candidates would be to prepare for common behavioral questions and use the STAR method when answering.
The process is straightforward and typically completed within a week. It starts with an initial phone screening, followed by an assessment or task for some roles. Candidates then go through one or more interviews focusing on job experience, problem-solving skills, and cultural fit. The final stage may include a concluding interview before a hiring decision is made. The overall difficulty is considered average
