Terrible interview from the Jersey City location for Customer Service Relations. Initial interview was with HR representative. Could not get past the fact that I lived out of state and had a huge problem I didn't look up a bus schedule(??) before hand - I live in the tristate area and regularly travel to NYC/NJ. HR rep super focused on how I seemed to have more graphic design experience than customer service experiences, claiming they had my resume out yet unwilling to note the 6 years I spent in retail as well as a year on the phones in a literal customer service environment. Very negative and argumentative. At this point I felt they already had their judgment of me and so didn't wish to continue the interview. Argues I didn't seem prepared simply because I didn't know - surprise! You have to commute to the city! This experience left a very sour taste in my mouth about Springer Nature and it was a very unwelcoming experience even talking to them
Not one hour later accepted a position with another company. Included to illustrate the level of professionalism present with this interview. - there was none.
