interview was quick and to the point. it was a typically mud logging interview. the interviewer lied to me multiple times telling me that per diem would be illegal for this position. when i told him my expected pay he responded with, " well your guidance counselor might have told you that but what do they know. they have never worked out here before." I only asked for 60-70k range.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Stratagraph (Midland, TX) in Sept 2021
Interview
The interview was a mix between behavioral and technical. It was fairly short. They asked about field and academic experience mainly. The behavioral questions were about team work, and being able to drive, commitment to help co-workers.

Different for everybody. Some get hired over phone. Some have to go to office. You need some kind of mechanical or geological background usually. The human resource guy is very nice and will accommodate you as best he can. If you have to go to office be prepared to stay over night if you live outside of Louisiana.
