I went through five interviews for this role, including a recruiter screen, hiring manager interview, and three separate conversations with team members. After investing several hours of time and energy into the process and completing the final interview, I received a generic rejection email that said, “After careful consideration of many qualified applicants, we have decided to pursue other candidates for this role.”
For a candidate asked to complete five interviews, a brief personal follow-up from the recruiter or hiring team should be the minimum.
While some of the team members I spoke with were kind and professional, parts of the interview process felt disorganized. Several of the same questions were repeated across separate interviews, which made me question why those conversations were not structured as a panel interview instead.
Ultimately, the way the process was handled and closed out left a poor impression of the company.
