The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Success Academy Charter Schools (New York, NY) in Mar 2024
Interview
I filled out a preliminary questionnaire with the referral of a staff member/educator. There were two video interview questions glossing over what I could bring to the table and what my experience with rising up to challenges was. Following the two video interviews, there were two short answer questions. I was comfortable with the first short answer question, but did not enjoy answering the second one. I answered "robustly" as they recommended but am certain my response did not bring me to the next round. I thought it cavalier to ask for a two-year commitment in the way it was asked, but it makes sense since this is an organization with very high educator turnover. I felt that the two year commitment should have been part of the requirements in the summary of employment requirements.

Question 1
At Success Academy we invest a tremendous amount in you as an educator. Because of this investment we require a 2 year commitment. For many early in their career, this seems like an eternity. However, our students deserve stability and professionals who grow in their development. Please tell us if you can make that commitment and why you think you can. (At least 160 words)
A lot about willingness to discipline, how you grew up, adaptability, etc. Also stuff on what my educational experience was like (strict or not strict)? Also mock roleplay about disciplining a kid

I received a random message on LinkedIn from a recruiter. We had a call where they went over interview prep and scheduled the meeting. They asked pretty standard questions. Teaching experience, why teaching and why this specific academy, a time where you dealt with a difficult situation or person, how do you take constructive criticism then a simulated situation where they give you a scenario about ‘difficult’ parents and kids.
Not bad just a interview with normal amount of questions, I'm not the one who work as teacher that I came from EE background but they give me the interview
