1h online interview with hiring manager and a junior process engineer. Several rounds of communication with HR.
The first interview was postponed. This was because one of the interviewers had a higher work priority. The postponement was made on the day of the interview.
The interviewers at the rescheduled interview were the hiring manager and one of their reports.
During the interview I asked the hiring manager what their main challenges were. They answered that
1. Their department made good products but then it got broken by their internal customers who didn't know how to use it
2. They had hired some people who were idealogically passionate about plant based food, but couldn't keep up with the pace of the business, the work load etc. He referred to these people as burdens.
The hiring manager referred to people as burdens three times in the interview.
