I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sunglass Hut (Atlanta, GA) in Apr 2012
Interview
They are more concerned with your look. Please dress like you are hanging out in West Hollywood for men: black and white blazers, tie, slacks, nice dress shoes and women: heels!!! lip stick, make up on point! black or white dress! or nice blazer and slacks! Smile!! Laugh! You are selling your personality not your work ethic or experience! I promise you its more like a first date than job interview. You will be working in a store by yourself for hours, who cares if you worked in retail for 10+ years!
Oh yeah and you will do a sales floor audition at some point. Meaning you will have to interact with customers on your own. Please be ready to do so!
You will thank me later!
Asked about experience, situational questions (was there ever a time where), if I'm interested in fashion, and register skills. Then the second in person part was role playing approaching a customer, giving advice, and testing a little knowledge about sunglasses like shapes and color theory.

It really depends on your manager as there’s no specific set guidelines. Generally easy questions and basic questions regarding sales. I’ve helped my manager come up with scenarios on top of some easy basic questions.
